Residents have started to go into Zaha Hadid‘s initial residential building in New York at 520 west 28th street as the development nears completion. Comprising 39 different residences and high-end amenities, the construction is characterized by dynamic curves and constant lines. The distinctive hand-rubbed metal façade and lively curves seamlessly integrate interior and exterior and sit directly on the top line, in the center of West Chelsea.
The project is being developed by related companies and is slated for completion this year. A short walking distance from Hudson yards to the north, the Zaha Hadid-equipped condominium construction stands out as a sculptural ‘work of art’ from the emerging area of West Chelsea. Other exciting projects in the area include the ‘high line nine’ cultural initiative, which will see exhibition spaces pop-up under the raised park, also Heatherwick studio’s urban landmark, ‘boat.’ The architecturally-rich and different district serves as a lively setting for your new residence.
Loft-like residences are individually crafted, each with Hadid’s signature design stitched to the plan. ‘the interiors integrate seamlessly into the sculpted nature of the building’s outside, creating one enormous piece of artwork,’ explain that the programmers.
Prices vary from USD 4,975,000, for a two-bedroom residence, around $25 million to get a duplex four bedroom unit. Occupants are going to have access to state-of-the artwork amenities such as a reservable lounge and entertainment package, a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, a gym, 75-foot swimming pool, a private IMAX theater, and an electric sauna.
