Jakub Rebelka’s Cyberpunk And Fantasy Illustrations

Jakub Rebelka‘s work resembles a cross between a stained-glass window along with a colorful manga — it’s classic, in a sense, using a horizontal, intricately detailed fashion, but it also blurs the line between science fiction and fantasy in a way that’s absolutely stunning. Drawing is about the only thing he ever envisioned doing; Rebelka’s illustrations have been featured in comic books and video games, but he states his favorite bit is whatever he’s working on right now.

Growing up in Poland, Rebelka drew inspiration from a massive range of sources, everybody from iconic French comic artist Moebius into Akira artist Katsuhiro Otomo into Polish painter Stanislaw Szukalski. Nevertheless, the big names weren’t the most crucial influence on his career.

“My dad is a wonderful artist,” says Rebelka,” he taught me all.”

This extensive selection of influences has led to a distinct appearance, one who jumps between various styles at ease; his work can feel like a traditional painting by way of Japanese and French comic artists. His late night illustration sessions are fueled mainly by music and audiobooks.

“I spend a great deal of time behind the desk drawing,” he says.

Jung Lee’ Abstract Neon Light Letters

Much like the loop-de-loop scribbles of a youngster, artistJung Lee assembled a collection of neon light sculptures which were set up and photographed against cinematic arenas as part of her show titled “No Longer.” Earlier neon works by the artist have concentrated on legible typographic words and phrases, with these new bits carrying a markedly abstract twist, possibly in direct relation to the series’ name. The neon sculptures were set up on foggy snow banks and reflective shores, including a little intrigue regarding their intention. Pictures from the “No Longer” show were on perspective amongst many added light installations this past year in One and J Gallery.

Contemporary Villa From Wood And Metal by Lautenbag Architectuur

Villa Heerenveen was designed by Lautenbag Architectuur. The customers are a young couple with two toddlers. They have a full agenda and desired an efficient home, closer to work and school. A modern spacious house with a large kitchen/dining area was their wish. On a plot on the border of Heerenveen, their clear contemporary villa, with lots of glass and several unique features, has been realized. The magnificent façade with contrasting finishes which comprise brushed perforated metal panels create a bold statement in this residential area, coupled with a contemporary entrance and a beautiful wooden canopy. This duplex is mirrored onto a bigger scale to offer color to the south façade. This detail provides natural cooling to the interior of the property whilst the opposing materials complement the outside of the building.

The interior of the building offers clean lines with striking results in the perforated metal panels used on the exterior which allow light to penetrate the building and natural lighting effects which reflect off the walls and also provide an alternate dimension, whilst providing solitude from the nearby residential development. Floor to ceiling glazed panels with minimal framing add to the open texture of the construction bringing the outside in and give the building the visibility of magnificent sun rises and sun sets over the adjoining landscape , picture windows giving special focus to the outside components and natural flora and fauna across the watercourse. The open plan feel is continued throughout the construction with strategically positioned dividing walls to provide privacy whilst allowing the interconnection of rooms to stream, the stairs are a crucial yet striking feature of the home whilst being operational yet chic, this home offers a spacious living environment that is both functional, modern and maximises the resources of its location.

Felicia Chiao’s Lively Illustrations of Imaginary World

Felicia Chiao, a self-described “industrial designer by day and illustrator by nighttime,” crafts drawings of humorous and fantastical scenes, packed with vibrant information.
Her signature hairless, nude protagonist appears to be a stand-in for every one of us, taking in the miracle or alternative selection of feelings in each piece.

On the artist‘s Instagram accounts, she frequently offers humorous ideas to cooperate with every work. For the bit above: “Would not it be cool if folks were like snails and wore their own houses around? Napping would be quite so convenient.” And for the under piece: “Apparently water lilies and lotus blossoms aren’t precisely the exact things. I really feel like I must have understood this?”

The artist works as a professional designer at IDEO Food Studio. She has also worked as a toy designer.
