Ben Young’s Layered Glass Sculptures

New styled glass figurines by Sydney based artist Ben Young. The self-taught artist, who has been making glass sculptures for more than 15 decades, handcrafts every sculpture by hand layer upon layer without the use of a computer or high-tech machinery. Young artist compliments the organic glass contours with industrial materials like concrete to create physical and visual contrasts between the textures and colors of both materials.
How I use the glass lets me portray so many distinct components of my conceptual thoughts. Lighting plays a massive role in the presentation of my pieces. When lit from beneath, the lighting reflects and gives off the illusion of this item being brought to life. I expect viewers might envision the job as something “alive” that generates the illusion of distance, movement, depth, and awareness of spatial being. I like to play with all the irony between the glass being a solid substance and how I can sort such natural and natural shapes.

Extraordinary Digital Sculptures By Chad Knight

Chad Knight is a 41-year-old 3D artist producing mind-bending digital artwork. His distinctive approach to electronic sculptures fascinates people all over the internet.

“I believe I became an artist at conception,” Chad told the Klassik Magazine. “It’s more who I am as a person that exactly what I do. On the other hand, the reason why I make art is that I have a very overactive, noisy thoughts. Creating art is just one of those few things that enable me to present. I skateboarded professionally for 16 years. During this time, it served as my creative outlet. Now I do not have the chance to do it as often, along with being less enthusiastic about broken bones, my 3D explorations are becoming my new socket.”

Knight shows, that the desire to continuously improve is a major motivator in his making process and that he loves both: the process and the result.

Many men and women look for symbolism in Knight’s functions, and they are right too. “Everything on my job represents something or someone. My art is very much like an encrypted journal I can share publicly.”

A Collection of Colorfully Illustrated 19th-Century Biological Fauna by Ernst Haeckel

German biologist and artist Ernst Haeckel committed his life studying much-flung fauna and flora, drawing each of their odd specificities having a large scientific detail. Haeckel made hundreds of such renderings throughout his lifetime, works which were used to describe his biological discoveries to a broad audience. In addition to those visual histories, Haeckel also found many microbes, even coined several scientific conditions known now, such as ecology, phylum, and stem cell.

A brand new book from Taschen titled The Art and Science of Ernst Haeckel summarize the 19th-century artist-biologist‘s most crucial visual functions and publications across a hefty 704 pages. The compendium comprises 450 drawings, watercolors, and sketches from his research, which has been in substantial aid of Darwin’s theory of development.

Russian Photographer Brings Space Down To Earth While Raise Awareness About The Environment

Russian photographer Alexander Ivanec has launched the #diveinsideyourspace project to raise awareness about the environment.

“After the cosmonaut appeared, the idea just sparked and that I understood you could feel as if he is in space by making these pictures on Earth. I started searching for the atmospheric phenomenon to photograph. Soon I understood that space is here. I dive into it through shooting.
I shoot with film cameras, not digital. After Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, they took the first pictures with a Hasselblad camera. So I picture using the same camera, and I feel a certain connection.
My group and I have made the very first costume ourselves. It did not turn out as good as we envisioned: The oxygen module on the cosmonaut’s back looks like a mattress. But it wasn’t a serious idea initially; we just wished to have fun.
This project urges individuals to defend the environment. The majority of people, myself included, spend 90 percent of our time in offices and forget about anything else around us. We’re moving away from nature.”
