These Photos of Umbrellas Show the Beauty of Little Moments of Life

Dasha Dare‘s fascination with umbrellas began four decades ago when she was researching the streets of Manhattan, capturing the black and color attractiveness during various seasons and climate conditions.

Paying closer attention to those urban areas, the New York photographer started to pick out people carrying umbrellas along with the theme for her ongoing series stuck. Dare’s motivation was the action of observing and paying attention to the world around us at the bad weather conditions.

Every photo here is a reminder for the observer to always see a bigger picture, see the good in”bad” weather. As she explains, “It only takes one to lift an umbrella a bit higher and slow down — with hardly any effort — to watch beyond the boundaries of your world.”

Beautiful, delicate, often in black and white and occasionally in color, Umbrellas is a string that reminds us to adopt the here and now.

Exploring Stunning Beauty of Sweden from Above with Viggo Lundberg

Viggo resides in Stockholm and works full time as a firefighter. But also finds the time to take some awe-inspiring photos of the magnificent Swedish landscapes.

Viggo shares “I love being in the forests and the great outdoors. Several of my photos are taken more or less outside of the door, either at southern Stockholm or around Kinnekulle where I grew up. The very best thing about Sweden is that it is never quite a way to nature and that there’s still a great deal of untouched wilderness. I have always enjoyed camping outdoors and looking for adventures, and nothing beats cooking over a campfire.”

Sweden has a rich record of fairy tales which are put in and constructed on the beautiful natural surroundings. Viggo grew up and has been inspired by the fairytale worlds of Astrid Lindgren, Jenny Nyström and Elsa Beskow – incorporating a sense of mystery and magic to a character.

“When I was younger, I often went around with a camera, but I sort of lost the habit as I grew up. But when I became a father three decades back, the camera came back once I wanted to catch the critical moments as my daughter grows up. So that my camera travels with me places again! ”

Photographer Peter Trembeczki Explores The Relics of Hungary’s Industrial Past

Peter Got his BA Level as an economist and later graduated from The Photography MA programme of the Moholy-Nagy University Art and Design in Budapest, Hungary. “I grew up in a tiny agricultural city in southern Hungary. Went bankrupt or obtained privatized. This generated a sad, fragmented and at The exact same time, colorful landscape: a huge portion of the once-thriving Industrial buildings and assets were left to rust. Otherworldly Panoramic Photographs of Churches by Peter Li Bring

Photographer Peter Li utilizes panoramic photography to present a new perspective into the breathtaking structure of churches from around the world. By catching the entirety of this ceiling and supporting columns, Li enables the viewer to find the chance to feel what it’s like to stand in the center of these grand buildings, while also attaining a viewpoint that’s not possible to get without digital intervention.

One of the many stand-out aspects of the photographs is that the symmetry that is highlighted when a chapel‘s interior is stretched. This element, Li tells Colossal, is precisely what gives the essay its overall equilibrium. Lighting factors and also the season are also essential components that make a panorama more compelling to take. Shapes and shadows appear differently in each space based on where the sun might be overhead, and if at a particular position, this may be very disruptive to the photograph.

When all components fall into place, however, Lee accomplishes photos that are genuinely transportive. His pictures not only take us to a different location on the planet but also enable us to be slightly removed from our great reality. “It divides us from reality, plays with our understanding of form and form and produces a sense of another world. Through my photography, I expect to impart the mysterious nature to the viewer, encouraging them to take a short step out of their truth.”
