Porshe Revealed its Latest Model 911 ‘GT3 RS’ at the Geneva Motor Show 2018

Porsche‘s motorsport division presents its latest model at the Geneva motor show 2018: the 911 ‘GT3 RS’. The high-performance sports car using 383 kW (520 hp) and four-liter, high-speed naturally aspirated engine is based on the 911 ‘GT3’, that is further refined to combine the performance-enhanced engine using a running-gear setup that has re-calibrated back axle steering for maximum precision and dynamics. The 911 GT3 RS accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 194 mph.

Aerodynamics have determined the design of this Porsche911 GT3 RS‘s wide, weight-optimized body using its classic stiff rear wing. The racing appearance continues into the interior with full bucket seats made of carbon to provide secure lateral aid in response to high-speed driving dynamics. Lightweight door panels with storage nets and opening loops reduced sound absorption and also the brand new lightweight back lid further emphasize the consistency of the material choices.

That the four-liter, six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine from the brand new 911 ‘GT3 RS’ compels the sports car to new limits: the horizontal motor produces 15 kW (20 hp) over the motor in the preceding model and the ‘911 GT3’. Together with a rate range reaching up to 9,000 RPM, it had been the natural choice because of a thoroughbred engine. Combined with the specially calibrated seven-speed PDK, the high-performance engine is made to ensure outstanding driving performance.

Technology directly from motorsport ensures that the chassis provides exceptional driving dynamics. Ball joints all arms provide even greater precision than conventional elastokinematic bearings. 20-inch lightweight wheels with recently developed 265/35 sports tires on the front axle enhance agility and steering behavior, while 21-inch wheels with 325/30 tires in the rear axle improve grip.

You Don’t Have To Be Rich To Afford A Luxury Car

Making A Smart Car Investment In 2018

If the time is approaching for you to buy a new car then you need to seize this opportunity with both hands. This is a chance to not simply replace your current model but improve on your current model (without spending a heap of money). The initial price you pay for a car is only the beginning of the costs that you’re going to face with that vehicle throughout its lifetime. If you want to be really financially-savvy then you need to factor in all the regular costs you’re going to face and the length of time for which you think you’ll own this car. Let’s go through the steps of making a smart car investment in 2018.

The initial purchase

First of all, you need to make sure you get a good deal on the initial purchase of the car you want. Perhaps you don’t have one particular model in mind; you might be weighing up the pros and cons of a few different cars from a few different manufacturers. This is a good position to hold when browsing the market because you want to keep your options open; it’s important to not be deceived by a pretty face. You need to think about what’s going on under the bonnet as well. It’s all about the specs. There’s no point paying slightly less for a car that isn’t economical because it’ll cost you more in the long-run.

You should also be weighing up whether you’re going to buy the car outright or lease it; if you intend to use the vehicle for many years then you might want to buy it, but if you think you’ll be upgrading again in 3 or 4 years then you could save a lot of money by simply leasing it for that amount of time. Another option is paying for your new car in monthly installments if you don’t have enough to pay for it upfront. There’s a great deal on the new Vauxhall Cascada Convertible with monthly payments of £428.89. There are tonnes of options on the internet if you want one of the latest cars on the market. It’s just about being smart enough to do your research and compare different deals out there.

The insurance

In terms of the insurance you pay for your vehicle, this all depends on your experience, age, and the car you’re driving. All these factors add up to create a picture of yourself to potential insurers. You need to do your research before buying a car so as to see whether it’ll be a wise decision in terms of insurance options. You might even want to look into getting extra qualifications on the road so as to better your chances of getting a cheaper quote from insurers.

The tax

As discussed earlier, specs are everything when it comes to buying a new car. You need to think about how economical a car is going to be before you buy it, but this isn’t the only thing you need to consider if you want to save money in the long run. When it comes to the amount of tax you pay on your car, this is often decided based on the impact your vehicle has on its surroundings. That’s why it’s smart to go for a newer vehicle with low emissions because the tax you pay will be far lower than it would be for some of the older vehicles on the market. Again, as explained throughout this article, newer doesn’t always mean “more expensive”; you’ve got to think about the costs that come with owning a car in the long-run.

MIT Collaborated with Lamborghini to Create Electric Super Car ‘Terzo Millennio’

Lamborghini has announced a new design concept in collaboration with two laboratories at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The theory focuses on different dimensions of design and technology, such as energy storage systems, advanced materials, and propulsion systems. In a time once the high-end automobile business is moving away from traditional energy storage systems and traditional batteries, Lamborghini is investigating the potential of supercapacitors.

Five decades ago, Lamborghini employed low voltage supercapacitors from the favorite V12 Aventador. The potential for this storage system has to have the ability to deliver high peak power and regenerate kinetic energy using a limited influence from biking and aging during the car‘s life. At the same time, the system needs to be able to symmetrically release and harvest electric power. This system requires the utilization of new materials and produce carbon fiber structure and components — carrying lightweight materials to the next level.

This is conducted via microchannels filled with recovery chemistries. The energy storage system right relates to functionality. It allows the Terzo Millennio to embody the Lamborghini soul while taking steps towards the path of producing ‘Lamborghini electrical’ — focusing on large torque, reversibility, and also the possibility of transferring energy by wire. The overall design uses entirely new structure to ideal airflow.

Aston Martin Presents Supercar ‘Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake 2018’

Aston Martin first debuted the ‘vanquish Zagato Volante,’ followed by confirmation that the ‘vanquish Zagato speedster’ is entering production, and now the British-automaker shows its spectacular ‘vanquish Zagato shooting brake.’ The cars are the latest in a collaboration between the two firms that started back in 1960 using the ‘DB4 GT’ Zagato.

The Aston Martin Vanquish-based Zagato set — such as the two-seat shooting brake — features a 5.9-litre V12 engine with 592 bhp, combined with a ‘Touchtronic III’ automatic gearbox and rear-wheel-drive. There are also revised spring rates, retuned dampers, thicker anti-roll pubs and revised hydraulic steering. For the shooting brake, it comes with a powered boot which opens up to reveal a well-finished cabin area typical of the British-automaker. Aston has yet to reveal images of the shooting brakes inside, although if you inspect the images under closely enough, you may just get a better idea.
