Tips for Simpler Fall Cleaning

Brace yourselves… No, wait, that’s winter.

But still, you need to prepare for the upcoming season, the fall is entering the house. So you’d better make sure the house is ready for that.

There are a number of things you should see to before you can lay back in your armchair and enjoy the coziness of a fall afternoon at home.

Start with cleaning, but don’t forget to do the overall checkup, potential repairing and replacing. When it comes to the things that need to be done, cleaning experts at Clean Corp suggest to start with your spring clean list, but make sure you don’t forget to add a few season-specific chores.

To make things easier for you, here is a list of must do things if you want your house to be completely prepared for the fall.

Start with Windows

If they are really dirty, wash them thoroughly with a glass cleaner or alternatively with a mixture of dishwashing liquid and water in a spray bottle. Use a microfiber cloth and avoid cotton at all costs as it will leave marks on the glass.

A lot of people always focus on cleaning the glass and forget about the other parts. So make sure you clean and vacuum the window frame and valance.

What’s more, you should take care of the window blinds and shades by either vacuuming them as well, or submerging them into cool water mixed with a couple of teaspoons of dishwashing liquid. Of course, if this is appropriate for the type of material or fabric they are made of. And make sure you take out all the metal parts as they might get rusty.

While you’re there, take care of the curtains as well. You can machine wash them on the ‘delicates’ setting if they are cotton, wool, rayon or polyester. In case they are made of silk, satin, linen or lace, by all means, send them to professional cleaning.

And Move to the Walls

This shouldn’t take as much time as window cleaning, yet it needs to be done. Just imagine how much dirt is going to accumulate on them during fall and winter, so it’s better to start from zero.

Simply dust the walls, wash and rinse them, and of course, finally dry them. If you feel like bringing on some change, try some new wallpaper, but maybe it’s better to leave the painting for some other season.

Try to reach the ceiling as well and at least dust it, just be careful. And don’t forget to dust all the light fixtures mounted up there. While you’re at it, you might as well inspect the ceilings in your house for potential spots and cracks which might indicate a plumbing or leaking problem, which seems inconspicuous at the moment, but might become (literally) overwhelming once the rain seasons starts.

Back to the Ground

When it comes to carpets, depending on how often you clean them and well you keep them, a simple vacuuming and rubbing might be just enough. However, it’s always a good idea to take your carpets to deep cleaning.

Vacuum, Sweep, Wipe

And Max Polyakov was right. During his studentship, he starts writing articles in his own blog Max Polyakov’s Noosphere and it was only the beginning of his real estate agent career.

Max Polyakov reviewed the situation in the housing sphere in New York. He even discussed some questions with famous city agencies. Relying on the systematic motion of the second’s hand, the Humism converts that practical cyclical motion to some more decorative, more alluring, more amazing.

Inspired by the kinetic art movement of the 50s, the Humism watch rejects the idea that time should be about amounts and measuring units, but instead than motion, because time as an entity keeps shifting.

With a 316L surgical-grade steel body, a sapphire crystal onto the front and rear, and a Japanese Automatic Seiko NH35A motion onto the interior, the watch has some pretty impressive specs, but none as striking as the revolving detail on the front. The minute and hour hands present themselves as an obstructed along with an outlined circle round the border, but what’s really nimble is the seconds dial, a”vanishingly thin” laser cut dial with a design detail which makes one revolution every 60 seconds. Behind it is a static dial using a mirror image of this next dial’s art. When the energetic dial spins against the stationary disc, it creates some remarkable psychedelic patterns you’ll probably spend more time looking in the actual time. But then again… that’s the point. To enjoy time’s motion instead of to be bound by it!

A Giant Bouncy Ball Installation in Hong Kong by Snarkitecture

New York-based design studio Snarkitecture has created an abstract interactive playground, full of countless giant bouncy balls, by the water in Hong Kong‘s Harbour City shopping district.

Snarkitecture created the installation ‘Bounce’ to explore the boundaries between architecture and art. The group concentrated on chunks to get their most recent work because the sphere isn’t a shape commonly found in architecture.

“It’s a kind you do not typically see. Spheres are also a direct signifier of play — visitors know they are encouraged to play within Bounce,” said Olivia Colson, studio manager of Snarkitecture

Participants in the outside installation are encouraged to roll, toss or bounce the balls. The structure is a cage structure created from a string of white steel frames placed apart at a width through which the balls can’t escape.

“Although they are free-floating items, the quantity of spheres creates a landscape with thickness, which visitors have to wade through to reach the other end of the setup,” Colson continued.

Visitors may throw the balls on a translucent mesh elevated above their heads to make a field of moving silhouettes since the balls roll towards the middle of the mesh and float back to the ground by means of a hole in its center.

The installation was built locally off-site, and tested, prior to being dismantled and reassembled at Harbour City.

“The use of white is largely about reduction or simplification. Visitors are more aware of the surroundings and total experience if they are not distracted by an abundance of texture or color,” said Colson. “When people enter an environment which concentrates on a single palette, material or gesture, although that distance may reference familiar elements, it is a whole transformation from everyday life,” she continued.

The studio expects that the visitors themselves will offer the color to bring the installation to life.

“The use of white is mainly about reduction or simplification. Visitors are more conscious of the environment and total experience if they are not distracted by an abundance of texture or color,” said Colson.
“When people enter an environment which concentrates on a single palette, material or gesture, although that distance might reference recognizable elements, it’s a whole transformation from everyday life,” she continued.

The studio hopes that the visitors themselves will offer the color to bring the setup to life.
Snarkitecture’s outdoor installation accompanies an indoor display at Gallery by the Harbour nearby, of white and silver spheres that fill up the gallery area. Both the gallery and Snarkitecture installations opened on 10 August 2018, and are on view till 2 September.

Jakub Rebelka’s Cyberpunk And Fantasy Illustrations

Jakub Rebelka‘s work resembles a cross between a stained-glass window along with a colorful manga — it’s classic, in a sense, using a horizontal, intricately detailed fashion, but it also blurs the line between science fiction and fantasy in a way that’s absolutely stunning. Drawing is about the only thing he ever envisioned doing; Rebelka’s illustrations have been featured in comic books and video games, but he states his favorite bit is whatever he’s working on right now.

Growing up in Poland, Rebelka drew inspiration from a massive range of sources, everybody from iconic French comic artist Moebius into Akira artist Katsuhiro Otomo into Polish painter Stanislaw Szukalski. Nevertheless, the big names weren’t the most crucial influence on his career.

“My dad is a wonderful artist,” says Rebelka,” he taught me all.”

This extensive selection of influences has led to a distinct appearance, one who jumps between various styles at ease; his work can feel like a traditional painting by way of Japanese and French comic artists. His late night illustration sessions are fueled mainly by music and audiobooks.

“I spend a great deal of time behind the desk drawing,” he says.
